SCR Technologies, Southwire Company, LLC announced it has signed a contract with Jiangsu Jinhui Copper Group, for its third SCR-7000 copper rod system. The new system will be operated by subsidiary Yixing Runfeng Copper Co., LTD., located in the Jiangsu Province of China.

The project includes the design of all operating equipment, from a furnace loading system to a finished rod handling system.  The system is capable of producing 48 tonnes of copper rod an hour in the sizes of 8, 9.5, 12.7, 16 and 18 mm.  The system includes a 13 stand Morgan “No Twist” rolling mill furnished by Primetals Technologies.

SCR aluminum rod systems, incorporating ultrasonic technology, range in capacity from 2.5 to 15 tonnes per hour of EC aluminum and alloyed aluminum rod.
