couldn't of found a better device for power manage I purchased this 4-5 years ago now. I RV full time and it has been trouble free and extreemly informative the entire time. during the summer I probably look at the "remote" monitor at least once a day just to be sure my 3 air conditioners are not drawing to much and to check how strong the RV park voltage stays. It definitly keeps me informed. this is one of my upgrades I am glad I did. I picked the hardwired Surge Guard for a few reasons; (1) it gives the most protection (2) don't have to worry about theft or forgetting it (3) it stays inside and out of the elements (4) it has the capability of attaching the remote monitor *** (5) it is a needed upgrade for RVs, specially in the summer months. I am attaching a few pictures of it in use. notice the voltage differences between L1 & L2 that without this monitor, you would never see the possible damage the shore power source could be causing you.

what is the reason for not mounting to a floor, other than water leaks?
