sucks Would not attach to fish tape. Every time I tried to "bend" the fish tape to fit inside the undersized and badly designed threaded attachment the steel broke. It also began to strip out the threads so it was basically ruined and "un-returnable". I spent 45+ minutes on this because I used one years ago and really liked the way it worked. But it was a Klein. So, Don't waste your time and money on this poorly designed product. Get a Klein

How does this leader attach to the 1/8” fish tape?

"1. Cut off the formed loop at the end of the steel fish tape making a clean, perpendicular cut, and thread the fish tape through the small end of the leader bullet head. 2. Use a torch to head the cut end of the fish tape to red hot and using a pair of pliers carefully bend 1/8”-3/16” of the fish tape into a small loop. 3. Once cooled, attached the threaded end of the fish tape leader to the bullet head and firmly tighten."

is there a replacement part number for the non-conductive leader on the Simpull fish tapes? Is it replaceable at all?

Yes, there is a replacement leader kit for the 3mm SIMpull fish tape, and one for the 4.5mm version. Both kits come with (2) non conductive tips and (2) flexible metal leaders. 3mm replacement kit: FTSP3_0FML-LRKIT 4.5mm replacement kit: FTSP4_5FML-LRKIT

Will this work on a nylon fish tape?

The flexible fish tape leaders are intended for use on steel fish tapes where the material can be bent to form a "stop" for the screw connection of the flexible leaders, most nylon or composite material fish tapes won't allow for this.
