Klein did it better It will get the job done but not without problems. Its nice that it can be removed from the handle and used in a drill but where am I supposed to find replacement blades. They dont have southwire brand blades at home depot, Lowe's, Amazon or even from this website for that matter! I own both this and Klein brand reamer and the Klein is absolutely worth the couple extra dollars. Klein makes by far a better reamer and replacement blades are easier to come by. Also the southwire junk o junk has too much play from it being removable from handle which will get you hung up on burrs way more often than the Klein brand.. buy Klein now or you'll end up spending twice as much down the road!

Conduit reaming tool review I received this tool about a week ago. At first glance it looked just like the competitors reaming tool then I discovered that the tool is actually two tools. The reaming section can be easily pulled from the cushion grip handle and inserted into a cordless drill to make it a power reamer. This feature is very helpful to us "old guys" whose wrists and hands can feel the effects of over 45 years of wear and tear on our bodies. I use mine in a compact 12 volt drill which fits easily in my pouch. Whether up on a lift or on the ground any tool that can assist in running hundreds of feet of thinwall pipe is greatly appreciated. So far the reaming blade has done a nice job of removing the burrs on the end of pipe and the 5/16" screwdriver tip has stayed sharp and easily tightens the screw on set screw fittings.

Good, well built conduit reamer I have used 2 other brands of conduit reamers over the years and this one is fairly the same. I do like how you can replace the blade much easier by removing a screw rather than having to beat out a roll pin. One thing I don't think I will use is the option to chuck up in a drill, I feel there is a good chance of breaking the blade if it gets hung up on a good burr when being powered by a drill. Other than that I am happy with the product. I see no difference in quality between southwire and its competitors product, it is built just as well and should last a long time unless I lose it first.

Wrist saver! I haven't had this reamer long but I can already tell it will always be in my pouch. It works great as a hand held reamer, but it really shines when you chuck it in a drill. What a great idea and a great wrist saver. I'm an older electrician so I'm always looking for tools that make it easier on me. This tool does just that. My grip and wrist aren't what they use to be. With this tool, I don't dread reaming conduit anymore! I recommend 100%!

Well Built! You can tell immediately when picking up this tool that it is made with high quality materials. The weight alone gives it away but upon further inspection you notice all of the features this tool includes. I've own other conduit reaming screwdrivers but the felt flimsy and wore out within one year of use. I truly believe this tool will last much longer. even if it does wear out eventually it appears that you can even replace the reaming blade.

Solid Multi-Purpose Tool I was comparing this conduit tool to a similar one that was fixed to the screwdriver shank and had an exposed straight blade tip. The Southwire model allowed me to tighten fitting screws without slipping off as with my exposed tip version. The fact that I could remove the reaming tool from the body and chuck it into a drill is definitely a plus. Less fatigue and increased production. One suggestion would be that if the handle grooves where the shank goes in was a bit wider, the handle could also be used to tighten wing nuts.

Versatile conduit reamer Excellent reaming tool for 1/2", 3/4", and 1" emt. It is definitely a solid hand tool, plus the reaming end pulls out of the handle to chuck in a drill. It works perfectly in my Milwaukee M12 drill, doesn't need a whole lot of power to operate and makes it super quick. If doing just a few pieces of conduit, just pop it back into the handle and do it by hand. One problem- the reamer pops out of the handle fairly easily especially if it gets caught a little in the conduit or your tool belt or pants pocket, annoying!

SDCFR I received this a little over a week ago and have found a few things that are just not up to par. First the reaming blade isn't deep enough to cleanly ream 1/2" emt. Second the 5/16" screwdriver blade isn't lined up with the reaming blade so you don't know it's orientation without looking. The reaming head does come out of the handle and placed in a drill but ti's not 1'4" hex, so no impact or quick change. The reaming head is only held in with a ball detent. The SDCFR works but there are better options.
