Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a durable product! I bought this item on 05/22/17 and used it on 05/23/17. The plastic bowl is not durable and ripped at the attachment hole. The hole saw is also the wrong diameter as others have stated, for a 6 inch recessed light I need a 6-3/8" hole saw as opposed to the supplied 6 or 6-1/2" options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tool All tools from time to time need different adjustments not all manufacturers can make special tools for all applications just do what I do and modify the tool. Just take a round file and elongate the hole to make the adjustment to a 6.25" or a 6.375" Think a little.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from the drill bit was cheap the drill bit was so cheap it bent after the second hole. I straightened it out and re attached it, but it bent again and made a crooked hole. A stronger drill bit would be nice. I did find the calibration marking on the cutter usefull.

For those needing a 6-3/8" setting can a 1/16" washer be used as a blade spacer on the 6-1/4" setting, or is the groove too shallow?

How do you mount the disc mandrel, stabilizer into the dust shield? The cutting blades don't extend past the shield.

Asked by: Ray B
1.) First insert Pilot Bit into disc mandrel. 2.) Screw the nut onto the bottom side of the pilot bit to secure the disc mandrel 3.) Place the mandrel into the dust shield bowl 4.) Insert the washer onto the pilot base bit from the bottom of the dust shield. 5.) Attach to Drill

I recently purchased this tool at Lowes.  Why wouldn't you adjust the 2nd set of holes for the carbide cutters to allow for 1/4" adjustments in diameter.  It allows for a 6" hole or a 6 1/2" hole.  6"" is too small & 6 1/2" is too large.

We have a new version of this saw which will be adjustable in 1/4" increments that is coming our later this year!

I recently purchased a adjustable hole saw (ACLHS). I loosened the cutting blade mounting bracket to make a smaller hole and re-tighten the screws. One of the socket head screws stripped and I can no longer tighten blade mounting bracket. RETURN TO STORE?
