Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Kit for Homeowners! This is a well-built basic network tool kit. It has everything you need including the RJ-145 connectors. The tools are well built and solid. The stripper/crimper works great. The stripper can easily cut the outer jacket without damaging or bending the inner twisted pairs of wire. The crimper worked each and every time. The reversible screwdriver is solid. If you are going to do a limited amount of connectors, then this tool kit is hard to beat at this price point. You can’t go wrong. It even comes with a great storage case. That being said, if you are going to a bunch of connectors, you may want to upgrade to a punchdown tool that provides pushback and an audible click to tell you the wire is properly seated. (My techs and I install alot of connectors each day and we would definitely recommend Southwire’s PDTP-K1 Professional Impact Punchdown Tool.) For occasional use, this punchdown tool may not have all of the features, but it is well-built , does what it is supposed to do and does it well. Overall, I would definitely recommend this kit for a homeowner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Timing could not be perfect! One of my cats chewed through the end of a data cable. I was about to by a new cable when this tool kit fell in my lap. With the new plugs, I was able to repair the damaged end. The cutter/crimper made the job easier for a first time build. I used the screwdriver for an unrelated project. It was close by, instead of me having to go to the toolbox. Timing again. The cutting punch will have to stay in the case. I never work on anything that would require this tool. All in all the kit came in handy. Not bad for my collection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good Network Tool Kit This tool kit is very nice. The crimpers work well. The keystone tool is solid, and the screwdriver is nice. It also comes with some RJ45 connectors. The crimpers did a good job crimping all of the pins evenly. I would have liked to see a pair of scissors instead of the screw driver but the screw driver is very nice. The case works well to hold everything together. I will be taking the insert out and just storing the tools and a tester. It also comes with a card that tells you the pin outs and how to use the crimpers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable I like this set a lot. It feels really complete and each of the tools seem really durable and like they will hold up over repeated use. I also like the fact that it comes in a nice carrying case. This makes it much easier to store when I am not needing it. This is a great quality set.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good starter kit The crimper works well and has many features in one tool. It has a good punch down tool. However, I prefer an impact punch down tool. It has a nice case that I am using for something else because I put the tools in my tool bag. I would prefer to save some money and not have a case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great low voltage kit I liked that it came in a case, able to throw other devices and ends in there. All the tools in the kit worked well, the only thing I wasn’t used to was the punch down tool for female cat5/e and 6 ends, just a little awkward in my hand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love the case Love the case, it will hold all of my fittings required to do the job. The tools are sturdy and well built and should hold up for a long time. Love the punch tool and it's built in cutter to clip the excess wire. loved it!!!!
