Time saver Southwire sent me the PDPT-K1 to test and it did not disappoint. I've used non impact punchdown's before and they work but occasionally a wire wouldn't punchdown completely. The PDPT-K1 makes that a thing of the past. I didn't have a single wire that didn't get fully punched down in my patch panel when I used the PDPT-K1. While I don't have to deal with 66 style blocks it is a nice feature and being able to store the blade in the handle means if I ever do need it I won't be looking all over the place for it. The hook tool and spudger tool built in are great. I haven't used the spudger yet, but the hook does a great job at removing cables from the patch panel or keystone.

Nice Punch Overall, the punch is very easy to use. It is excellent for punching down Ethernet cable to keystones and patch panels for HVAC and automatic building control systems. It worked exactly as described with no issues whatsoever. In fact, it punches in wires better than my much more expensive Fluke version of the tool. The wire hook and spudger arms feel solid and snap back into the punch when not in use. The thumb tabs on the side make them easy to pull out when needed. The sides are rubberized so the punch is easy to grip and hold. I would definitely recommend buying this.

Excellent tool for everyday use on the job. This is one of my most used tools in my bag. I do a lot of structured cabling and termination and this tool performs flawlessly every time. I also like the fact that this has wire pics built in for removing 66 block punch or undoing a termination without having to touch the wires. The only issue is the screws holding this unit together loosen after time, so I add a little thread lock(blue) and the problem is gone.

Great tool!!!! This is a great tool at a fraction of what the big brands cost. I used this impact punch down tool to terminate 72 RJ-45 jacks for wireless access points without any problem. However, I would recommend to use blue threadlock on the 2 screws near the head as they seem to loosen up and allow the tools on each side of the punch to flop out.

Designed for easy use I had a little bit of time to spend using this punchdown tool and it performed as it should. Its well designed and pretty easy to use. I do like the spudger feature as well as the wire hook. I found the wire hook saved time and sometimes damage as your fingers didn't have to try to pick something out. Overall another handy tool to have!!

Well Built, Comfortable to Use This punchdown is very well built and very comfortable to use all day. I had an older non-Southwire tool that I have since abandoned. It wasn't as ergonomically designed as the Southwire PDTP-K1. With spare bit storage and handy accessory tools, this punchdown is now a permanent member in my UTP tool-kit.

Smooth efficient cut! This tool works incredible. I used it all day to do 80 data punch downs. It locked the wire in and cut off the extra slack perfectly every time. The grip is very comfortable. The blade provides a clean cut. It works significantly better than my last punch tool that I was using. It works great!

Good tool Passthrough or cut works well both 66and110. Impact adjustable and stores extra blade in handle. Nice spudger tools. The only setback is after I used it a year the spudger tools slipped out too easily. I didnt see adjustments for this. Overall it is a good tool for the pro
